BioMed Central is offering a new peer-reviewed open access
(OA) journal called Neural Development. By making the 
journal OA they will ensure rapid reviews and a shorter 
time to publication. A growing field needs to dispense 
knowledge quickly. The other advantage of OA is the ability 
to incorporate movies and animations into the format. A 
fixed article processing charge will be levied but no other 
charges will be made.
