BioMed Central, an Open Access publisher, is publishing a 
new journal, BMC Medical Genomics. This is an open access 
journal publishing original peer-reviewed research in all 
aspects of functional genomics, genome structure, genome-
scale population genetics, epigenomics, proteomics, systems 
analysis, and pharmacogenomics in relation to human health 
and disease.

 Information on the interaction between genes, drugs and 
diseases, and genomic approaches to medicine will 
contribute to the delivery of personalized and individual 
medical treatment.
