A new peer-reviewed open access journal, Molecular 
Cytogenetics, was announced by BioMed Central. The journal 
will publish research on "all aspects of chromosome biology 
and the application of molecular cytogenetic techniques in 
all areas of biomedicine". Three papers are currently 
available.
